To work and live in the metro is really intoxicating. The
day to day struggle is just physically and mentally bogging, breaking down your
soul and body.
I have this belief that all work and no play makes a person
dull and would truly drain the energy out of your life and would slowly kill
you in the process. So, it wouldn’t be too much to ask and give yourself a little break
and indulge for a relaxing day in a spa once a week to rejuvenate your tired body and soul
after an exhaustive week of hard work.
But I must say that I am a little bit choosy in terms of
picking a quality spa in the metro as I had that one experience before where
instead of getting pampered, I ended up having the worst day of my life because
of the poor service from a spa that I just randomly picked in the metro. Never
again!
As I care for you my dear readers, I would like to share my
personal testimonial in this wellness center that I could really recommend and would
give you the best value on your hard earned money. Everyone, please meet the White
Palace Spa.

It was a referral from a friend that I took the bite giving
White Palace Spa a chance to impress me with their service.
The newly opened spa occupied the whole top floor of the
Airport Global Plaza in Parañaque City. It sits fronting the Coastal Mall and
the building is next to KFC.

As I entered the wellness center, I was kind of impressed with
the reception made aside from the warm and inviting ambient of the facility. In
my head runs the line “I hope this impression lasts, because if not, it’s
another spa disaster to be added on my list.”

The spa accommodates male and female patrons that provide a
separate locker room, massage rooms, sauna, scrub rooms and lounge area. So your privacy is really secured in this facility. But if you wish to be with your loved
ones, there are executive rooms that you can reserve for additional fee of
course.
I was also informed that patrons could stay here at most 6
hours inclusive of the hours spent for the whole treatment.
I Deserve that Pampering!
I requested for the all in one treatment costing to Php 1200
that includes a foot spa, an hour of body massage and the use of steam bath and
dry sauna. Basic spa treatment starts at Php 650.00.
The masseur assigned politely gave me the key to my
locker room for me to change and take the hot shower adjacent to the spacious
locker room.

Clean towels and bathrobe and shorts were all provided inside
the locker. My only concern was there is no shoe rack for the patron’s footwear.
It feels a little un hygienic to put both clothes and shoes inside of the same
locker. I just couldn’t imagine the odor
and the dirt from the shoes mixing with my clothes. I hoping there is another
locker for the footwear.
I was on my robe that I was directed to the foot massage
room. The foot treatment was really soothing but not as superb as the one that
I had experienced from the foot reflexologists and religious followers of Pedro
Calungsod in Surigao City. Nevertheless they got all the dead skin removed from
my sole and my feet couldn’t be happier with the foot massage experience.

I took a little rest at the lounge area where we had a
little chitchat first with my colleagues while watching our favorite singing
competition, The Voice Kids Philippines. After seeping a cup of coffee, we
headed to the massage room for the main wellness treatment.

The male therapist assigned to me was too polite to ask for
the kind of treatment that I wish to have. I told him that I had the worst week
of my life and I need the hardest yet soothing pressure on my back to ease my
back pain. The relaxing treatment was a combination of Shiatsu, Swedish and Thai massages. There was nothing I can say but AWESOME!

I was
impressed how professionally trained the masseur assigned to me that was evident
from the way he had flexed my joints and smoothen the tensioned muscles on my
shoulders and my lower back. What’s surprising was they also applied a hot compress,
relieving all the tensions on my body.
The treatment was invigorating that I couldn’t ask for
more, leaving me rejuvenated and stress-free.
To maximize our stay in the spa, we tried their steam bath. In
the 15-minute stay inside the steam bath, I could feel all the free radicals and
toxins evaporating away from my skin pores. It was really an awesome experience
but all good things must end. Time slipped
so fast that we realized it was already 10pm and decided to end our spa
treatment.
I ended my day stress-free, happy, relaxed and with a
rejuvenated body and soul, ready to rumble and be productive the next day at work.
White Palace Spa has six branches in Metro Manila and they
operate from 1pm up to 6am.
